Berntsen History
Founded in 1972 as Berntsen Cast Products by Peter Berntsen and Phillip Petersen with the innovative W-1-B magnetic aluminum survey monument. Today, Berntsen continues to introduce new products, including the innovative InfraMarker® solution that connects physical assets and cloud data to help quickly locate and manage infrastructure.

Berntsen Cast Products, Inc. is changed to Berntsen, Inc.
Personalized Markers Created
Custom logo method for survey markers developed. Bill Rushing combined a printing technique, art and sand casting to create a personalized marker option for metal markers.
Governor's New Product Award
On October 3rd, 1975, Berntsen was presented with The Wisconsin Governor's New Product Award, for their revolutionary new type of survey monument, the W-1.
Berntsen Founded
